Wk 12 – Art Experience – Geocaching

This week’s art experience was a lot of fun. The goal was to find these geocaches that had little trinkets or notes and find them to be a part of this giant game and that’s what I set out to do. I downloaded the geocaching app and set out with my roommate to find one. We went to Blair Field to try and find one labeled “Billie Jean King of Pop”. We arrived at the stadium and there’s this huge poster on the back of a set of bleachers saying “Welcome to Billie Jean King Tennis Center” and we thought that it was going to be a piece of cake. However, we soon came to realize that it could be anywhere hidden with a magnet or taped to the underside of something. We went up and down the bleachers looking under the seats to see if it was hidden there, we searched trash cans, and we even looked up clues from previous discoverers. One of the hints was to watch Micheal Jackson’s music video so we watched that and we still had no idea where to look. Eventually, someone told us that we had to leave because they were closing up the field. At least we had the experience of trying to find one. I planted my own little geocache in a spot near my dorms with the coordinates below.
Latitude: N 33° 47′ 9.70
